Teboho Mokhothu

Teboho Mokhothu was born in 1988, and studied art and design at Maluti a Phofung college. He obtained his BA Fine Art degree at the University of the Free State. He is currently working at Stegmann Art gallery as technical assistant. Mokhothu is a motivated and passionate artist with the ability to develop high quality work. He worked with three Absa L'Atelier art competition winners (Pauline Gutter, Elrie Joubert and Liberty Batson). He also got involved group exhibitions.

Mokhothu mainly works in the medium of painting, printmaking, sculpting and real-time performance art, and has an understanding of video art. He is now exploring and working with rubber. Mokhothu's work usually targets South African issues like xenophobia, protests, the South African education system and corruption in government.
