Description:

This work attempts to explore the "nature vs nurture" narrative from a Christian point of view. It depicts the turmoil of a father and the chaotic emotions he experiences as he attempts to break free from his own past and that of his parents.

He is particularly concerned about the family history of mental illness and addiction, and hopes for a better future for his son. He experiences conflicting and confusing messages from society and wonders whether genetics have profound implications for personal identity.

He hangs onto the hope and expectation that he has a new identity in Christ and that there is hope that his son will be spared the same pain.
