Description:

The pain of seeing your mother constantly being brutally beaten up by your father is impossible to explain.  The scars are permanent.

The growth of the scourge of domestic violence in our society has reached alarming proportions.  There are millions of incidents of violence which are not reported.  Gender based violence, particularly perpetrated by men, must halt now! The march in the painting is a symbolic call to all and sundry to join and shout out against this violence.  Perhaps one of the best points to start with is by teaching the boy child that beating up a woman is totally frowned upon and criminal.  This should be hammered home until the boy child understands this message as being a way of life, and ultimately takes a lead in condemning this kind of behaviour.  The breaking of the vicious cycle of violence against women will have begun.
