Description:

This artwork presents a relationship between flowers and guys (male). Most of the time we see only girls receiving flowers as gifts as if they are the only ones who feel love and happiness in flowers, however in this artwork I’m depicting change. Depiction of guys carrying flowers exhibit the love of flowers by boys and generally flowers are the true symbol of love and friendship.

The guys holding flowers with their left hands is a symbol of a connection between nature and the heart. Doctors proved that left hands have a vein called vena amoris which runs inside the left hand directly to the heart, and that is why they are depicted holding flowers with left hands. Friendship in this painting is symbolised by the front guys, one guy hugging another one with his left hand to express unity, connection, trust and comfort around each other.

Painting flowers with a white colour exhibits freshness, cleanliness and purity, and the stem in green colour symbolises growth and creates a pleasant feeling. Wearing of earrings shows the love of fashion, status and to present them as gentle guys who want to attract girls so that they can be in a relationship where they can receive flowers as gifts. Moreover, the guys are portrayed in a vertical position to show strength and height. The colours of their T-shirts present more about their relationship, for example the colour orange symbolises friendliness and navy and blue exhibit loyalty.

Choosing acrylic as medium tend to be easy to work on, gives details, live shapes, sort of abstract, and light colours to set a calm tone and relaxed mood.
