Description:
This is a 21st century work of art which depicts the current events around the world during the pandemic.

The drawing of an over-exaggerated masking of the face is a representation of society being masked from seeing the truth. We are masked in a sense.

From all five senses which is taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing, only touch and hearing are not masked. This means that society’s mouth has been covered to not taste the bitter truth but also to prevent it from speaking the truth.

The nose is covered to suffocate us as society. The eyes are covered to prevent us from seeing what is really going on around us.

But we are left with touch to allow us to feel like we are still in control and the sense of hearing to let us listen to the lies of the higher powers.

Are we masked in a sense or is it just masked innocence?
