Price:
R1 200 each (Ref: TRF)
Description:
‘Kind future’ is a series of ceramic sculptures depicting children and the different environments in which they grow up in.
These pieces are made with the intention of sparking conversation regarding parenting and bringing children into this world. Children become adults who have a certain impact on society. We are all born with certain qualities and talents and it is important to be educated as to how we can best use ourselves for the betterment of the world. With new generations should come new ideas and new ways of thinking. Why raise a child to be a 'brain dead' consumer taught to live and think within the boundaries of the system, when you could be raising creative free thinkers who come up with new ways of helping each other and helping society in general?
We need thinkers and doers who are willing to make a positive change instead of aspiring to live an empty materialistic lifestyle, only thinking about themselves. We need more empathy with people. We can not accept spoiled, racist, greedy, selfish children who have poor communication skills due to growing up behind a cellphone - who can't do anything for themselves and in turn cannot do anything for anyone else.
We can however accept mindful, hard working, inspiring and enlightened children who will grow up to see the struggles in each other and possess the humanity to make this world a better place. That said we need to look at the parents: you as a human being have to realise who you are raising.
Rise with your children by your side. Do not indoctrinate or set a poor example. Do not embody a greedy, superficial being. Do not poison them with fear and hateful behaviour towards their neighbours. And for the love of God, teach them how to garden.
