Description:
This work is a diptych painting that is made from oil paint and acrylic. The work looks at a variety of visual impairments that people could experience due to various reasons. One being colour blind, or colour agnosia or blurriness. Vision is considered by many as a very important sense that helps them navigate their daily lives. This is especially true for visual artists. The artist tackles the fear of gradually losing his eyesight and having to come to terms with it and how it may affect his quality and quantity of work. Hence the idea of a diptych, having converted one image into two pieces and each piece depicting an example of how certain visual impairments would look.
