Adelheid von Maltitz is currently the Academic Head of the Fine Arts Department at the University of the Free State. Von Maltitz holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Free State. She is has handed in her PhD in Fine Arts in in July 2021 and is awaiting her examination results. Von Maltitz has participated in several local and international exhibitions, and in 2014 she was awarded the ‘runner up’ prize in Sasol New Signatures. Von Maltitz has also co-authored a chapter in the book, ‘Object Medleys: Interpretive possibilities for educational research’.
