Rudolf Bitzer is an architect at Incline Architects. He started sculpture classes in 2014 at Dina Grobler's art school and his first sculptures were exhibited at an exhibition at Gallery on Leviseur in December 2014. His sculptures proved popular and he was invited back for a solo exhibition in July 2015.

Since his solo exhibition at Gallery on Leviseur his work was featured at some well known galleries in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Somerset-West and Hermanus.

Themes prominent in his work are male identity, dreams and transformation. He is fascinated by the roles that society places upon certain categories of people within a geographical landscape and the challenges that present itself because of the limitations and liberties gained through these processes.

He has been married to Martie Bitzer for 25 years and they have two children: Linka, aged 21 who is currently a third year student at the University of the Free State and Esias, aged 17, a grade 11 learner at Sentraal High School.
