These paintings show the Sand Riverat Blaaudrift en route to Welkom and Theunissen.

I tried to show three different views of the Sand River at Blaaudrift bridge on a cold winter’s morning.  Note the reflections of the ice blue sky and the water framed by the dry grass and reeds with darker gloomy bushes and burnt trees.  The early morning sun reflects the new grass in the veld.
