Description:

The urn depicts the artist's childhood story. Her childhood was robbed of innocence, beauty and sanctity when she was molested. She sees the urn as containing her past: the trauma she endured, the isolation she was cocooned in, the silence she was entombed in, and the loss of past relationships that were marred in pain, angst and fear.

On the surface of the urn, she marks the molester as a devil, a wolf and as a monster who mercilessly demolished her childhood. But, the surface also contains her adult journey. In this journey, she frees  her childhood from the pit of the monster’s stomach. She releases her, she lets her breathe, and she witnesses how her life is resolute in sacrosanct worth.

Although the monster engorged himself on her childhood innocence, she has chosen to survive and follow a life journey that is filled with beauty, love and wonder.
