The 35 top artists whose excellent artworks are now exhibited at Oliewenhuis Art Museum in Bloemfontein, have been revealed at a well attended exhibition opening last week. Now the only question is, who will emerge as the winner?

It now compensates for the void left by Barclays L’Atelier cancelling all regional rounds outside of Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Makara Tsoenyane, a gifted artist from Phase 6, Bloemfontein, creates and sells his art from his deceased grandmother's house in the township, while also teaching children in surrounding schools how to practise art and make a living from it at the same time. He will be entering the Phatshoane Henney New Breed Art Competition and should he win, hopes to buy his own vehicle to transport his artworks himself.
