Following the success of last year’s competition, Phatshoane Henney Attorneys, in association with Oliewenhuis Art Museum, is launching the 2017 Phatshoane Henney New Breed Art Competition on Wednesday, the 15th of March.
This visual arts competition is aimed at discovering new and emerging Free State-based artists, and to provide broad corporate and public exposure to showcase contemporary art from the province.
The launch, starting at 15:00 at Oliewenhuis Art Museum in Bloemfontein, will include an exciting information session for interested artists, presented by acclaimed South African artist, Willie Bester – particularly well known for his installations made of found objects.
Among others, entrants will be provided with information on the upcoming competition and new developments regarding this year's prizes, as well as pointers on competition preparation.
All prospective entrants are invited to attend.
